See pedigree belowPerdition VF is a bay Arabian stallion, born at Ventura Farms, California in
1989. Prior to moving to Canada in 2002, he spent a number
of years in Oregon.
Perdition VF is by the legendary Probat out of Peleryna.
Probat, was born at Blommerod, Sweden, in 1975 and was later leased to Poland in exchange for the Polish bred stallion Algomej. The Poles traveled
to Sweden to try to buy Pohaniec, however they were
so impressed by his son, Probat that he was the horse they chose to increase the blood of Comet
in their herds. He was used at stud at Janow Podlaski from 1979 - 1982 and Michalow in 1986 and 1987. He was exported to the USA in 1987 for the sum
of $1,000,000. He was later sold to Meadowwood for $3.5 million. Probat is
the
sire of six Polish National Champions and seven Reserve Champions.
The 1990 Show gave Probat his greatest
sire recognition with two National Champions and a Reserve.
In racing stats compiled in 1998 - in a 15 year study of Polish race winners Probat headed the list with 10% of the wins.
In the US his American foal total included nine National winners who have
four National Championships. Probat was highly valued for his performance abilities. In Dressage he was rated 10 out of 10 for movement in Sweden.
Peleryna, was imported from Sweden to the USA in 1984 and
later exported to the Netherlands. She has been described as
'a lovely mare'. Her dam, Petarda was Russian bred by Tersk. Petarda's
full sister, Palba, was winner of the Certificate of First Degree at the All Union Exhibition in Moscow in
1964.
Peleryna's sire, Algomej, was Swedish National Champion in
1980 and Reserve Senior Champion at the Polish National Show
in 1985. He was imported into the U.S. in 1990 |
