Arabian stallion, Perdition VF

March 29th 1989 - August 12th 2010

Do you remember how thin and scruffy you looked when you first arrived here and how you flourished during that first winter? You put on weight and emerged in the spring a true beauty with glossy coat and bright eyes.  Do you remember how you loved to be groomed and beamed with pleasure - but hated to be 'messed' with?  Do you remember your look of distain when I made you let me kiss you - but you actually rather enjoyed it?  Do you remember how you enjoyed grazing at the back of the pasture in the trees, but hated to be there alone?  You so enjoyed me coming with you - just in case a monster appeared and at least it would get me first and you could run away.  Do you remember that the best way for me to tell if it was raining was to glance at your pasture - if it was wet I could see your nose poking out from the doorway of the shelter?  Do you remember how quickly you learned tricks and how your eyes would sparkle with excitement when you 'got it right.'  Do you remember how you followed me around just so you wouldn't miss anything?  Do you remember how proud I was of you and how much I loved you?
Please never forget me - and wait for me until I see you again.
